Church Podiums

The church pulpit is usually a pretty impressive piece of furniture--wide, solid and equipped with storage space. But massive size is not appropriate for all churches, occasions or rooms. Unlike pulpits, church podiums usually consist of a single flat surface with a book rest mounted on a narrow pedestal. Our church podiums measure 44 inches from the floor to the highest point with a rectangular top 16 inches by 20 inches. These are good choices for a church with a very small worship space such as a store front or a home.

Times and Places to Use Church Podiums

Sometimes a church will hold a service in a space other than the main sanctuary, such as a fellowship hall, a chapel or the church basement. Small portable church podiums are ideal for events such as Lenten services, prayer meetings, private baptism or for a banquet speaker. If you have invited a special guest to speak to your Sunday school class, this stand will give him a place to put his notes.
