These approximately hip-high structures are composed of a large front panel and two smaller ones on either side. Most have a Bible shelf (wood or padded) as well and all are equipped with padded kneeler cushions. Churches place them in a variety of locations--on the platform for clergy and lay leaders, at "stations" within the sanctuary for congregants and visitors, or in a small prayer room or chapel for private use.
